Texas Advanced Computing Center’s Frontera system is the most powerful supercomputer in academia in the world. We offer computing time for research and development work, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and large-scale data storage. Researchers can bring their own code, or Texas Advanced Computing Center staff can help write programs to solve challenges. Training is also available, free of charge.

Applied Research Laboratories is a University Affiliated Research Center operating under a Department of Defense management plan with oversight by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Applied Research Laboratories makes significant contributions in support of national security through fundamental research, innovative science, and applied engineering.

The Business Research Center which is a virtual resource is designed to connect students, faculty, and staff to the business databases available for research at UT.

The Campus Internationalization Event Fund is designed to strengthen global engagement on the Forty Acres. Texas Global will accept proposals – for up to $10,000 – from academic units sponsoring high-impact, globally-oriented events involving multiple colleges and schools and that will reach broad and diverse audiences. Events supporting entrepreneurship and innovation are invited to apply.

The KS WEL Institute hosts monthly EmpowHER Hours for the UT community. EmpowHER hours help equip and empower our students through 1-hour presentations presented by UT Austin Alumnae. Eureka is a searchable database supporting undergraduate participation in research and creative activity across The University of Texas at Austin. Students can find faculty members who regularly work on a given topic using the "Faculty" search, or browse a listing of posted research assistantships with the "Projects" search. All faculty members are encouraged to update their profiles regularly and post projects to better connect with students.

Faculty-led education abroad programs provide faculty with the opportunity to connect course content through experiential learning objectives. These programs contribute to UT’s internationalization of the curriculum and Texas Global’s goal of providing affordable international experiences to our students. Students earn credit towards their degree program and have the opportunity to build strong connections with UT faculty. Programs focused on entrepreneurship and innovation are invited to apply.

The Foundry provides access to makerspace equipment such as 3d printers, a laser cutter, mills, a VR headset, and a recording studio. The Foundry is designed to train and service entry-level makers. Students can join the Canvas course to learn more about how to get certified on the equipment. The Foundry cannot support large events or classes as equipment is limited.

Global Career Launch supports faculty with an established relationship at a university or an industry partner abroad to serve as faculty director to lead and supporting cohorts of up to 10 UT students as they intern or conduct research with said collaborator/institution. Interdisciplinarity is encouraged and the faculty’s research or teaching does not need to align with students’ internships. Research and internships focused on entrepreneurship and innovation are invited to apply.

Global Virtual Exchange encourages UT Austin faculty to co-create collaborative online international learning courses with peers at universities around the world.
