Longhorn Startup Lab is a joint program with Capital Factory that allows student entrepreneurs to work on their startup under the guidance of successful mentors and provides students with a vast network they can use to accelerate growth. The Longhorn Startup Seminar is a semester-long class that brings guest speakers in to introduce students to the world of entrepreneurship. It is designed as a beginner course and students do not need a startup idea to be involved.

The McCombs Entrepreneur Summer Fellowship (MESF), funded by the generous support of alumni donors and the Harkey Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, enables innovative students to continue building their startups during the summer. Full-time undergraduate students from majors both in and outside of McCombs, and with four semesters of course work who are actively working on a startup are eligible to apply. Applicants working on any stage of startup development from ideation to scaling are eligible to apply.

Texas Momentum is a student organization on a mission to create a vibrant entrepreneurship community for students. We run a semester-long startup accelerator that connects student-founders with product managers, software engineers, and designers to build, launch, and scale their venture. Membership in Momentum is open to all majors.

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) provides support for all externally sponsored projects, excluding those sponsored by industry. Services include review/submission of proposals, negotiation/acceptance of awards, and setup of financial accounts. OSP also manages budget changes, financial reporting, invoicing, subrecipient monitoring, award extensions and audits. OSP has training available for managing awards as well as compliance with university and sponsor policies/regulations.

Pivot allows researchers in all disciplines to quickly discover funding opportunities that match their interests and expertise. Pivot is available to all UT faculty, staff researchers, research administrators and students.

The President’s Award empowers students and faculty to examine real-world interdisciplinary topics while incorporating in-country learning into the classroom experience. Faculty work closely with other UT faculty, student teams, and international partners, utilizing funding and administrative support provided by the award to implement international projects. Students earn 4 credit hours during the one-year program. Projects incorporating entrepreneurship and innovation are invited to apply.

UT Entrepreneurs: Whether you're looking to see what other creative students are up to, have a business idea of your own, or are in search of co-founders to join your team, Startup Coffee Connect is the perfect event to kickstart your dream. From apps and software development to medical technology, innovative services, and retail goods, UT students are working on big things. Come by these monthly gatherings to meet others in the innovation space in a low-stakes, friendly environment.

Every semester, the LaunchPad gives out $15K in grant money (ranging from $500-$5,000) for undergrad students pursuing an entrepreneurial opportunity. Grants can be used for projects related to customer discovery, prototype development, pilot deployment, travel expenses, living stipends for unpaid and/or low-paying startup internships, and more. Priority is given to students participating in UGS programs and Success Initiatives across campus.

The Student Advisory Board serves as the voice of the Kendra Scott Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute to empower all self-identifying female students at UT to freely explore entrepreneurship. We create and plan events to foster unique and engaging conversations about topics relevant to college-aged founders and students, particularly women and underrepresented communities.

A 9-week summer accelerator program that picks the most promising emerging UT startups (undergrad, grad, and faculty teams) and helps them confront their next market-driven milestone. In its 13th year, alumni companies have collectively raised $100M and generated over $400M in valuation.
