The Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute’s Alumnae Advisory Board (AAB) is a diverse and inclusive community across areas of study, industry, age, race, sexual orientation, and gender of Leaders and Self-starters who have a passion for Female Empowerment. The AAB hosts EmpowHER Hours, hosts networking events, & mentors students to equip the next generation of female leaders.

The Center for Additive Manufacturing and Design Innovation houses a number of high-end, commercial additive manufacturing (AM) machines. We are capable of fabricating complex polymer and metal parts using our core technology platforms: Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Stereolithography (SLA), and PolyJet (PJ). These systems can be used for prototyping as well as producing functional, end-use components in small lot sizes.

The Center for Electromechanics performs leading-edge basic and applied research in electrical and mechanical engineering, with a special emphasis on applied engineering leading to prototype development in electromechanical devices and systems with high specific power, force, and/or energy storage or other unique attributes. This is accomplished through sponsored applied research and internships, laboratory space, prototype fabrication, and leveraging a breadth of engineering expertise.

The KS WEL Institute empowers and spotlights female-owned startups monthly through their application-based Featured Female Founders program. The Featured Female Founders program provides resources and exposure to the Austin startup community for these founders. Global Innovation Lab partners with governments, universities and industries to train and support entrepreneurs in their communities to overcome local challenges, create jobs, and drive sustainable economic development. Services provided include support in developing incubator management, technology transfer, commercialization, and ecosystem development.

The Student Advisory Board serves as the voice of the Kendra Scott Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute to empower all self-identifying female students at UT to freely explore entrepreneurship. We create and plan events to foster unique and engaging conversations about topics relevant to college-aged founders and students, particularly women and underrepresented communities.

Founded in 2010, the Texas Venture Labs Accelerator is a zero-cost, zero equity program that connects Texas startups with multi-disciplinary graduate student teams. These students provide up to 200 hours of high impact business consulting each spring and fall semester. We accept applications from both early stage and growth stage startups who can clearly define meaningful projects to help accelerate growth and are committed to engaging with the student team.

Texas Venture Labs (TVL) Startup Fellows gain experience in a variety of industries and roles while simultaneously building their expertise and networks. They work on projects that reinforce classroom learning, allowing them to bridge the gap between their career aspirations and their current skill set. TVL offers the following five tracks: TVL Venture Capital Fellow, TVL Social Impact Fellow, TVL Commercialization Fellow, TVL Founder in Residence Fellow, and TVL Ecosystem Fellow.

Texas Venture Mentoring Service (TEXVMS) has assembled over 100 expert mentors to support startups in the many entrepreneurship programs at UT Austin. TEXVMS's intensive team mentoring methodology surrounds startups with diverse expertise tailored to each company's unique needs. Mentors provide practical, actionable advice with a focus on developing the entrepreneur. Startups with any UT Austin connection may apply: university IP, faculty/student founder, or participation in another UT program.

A state-of-the-art facility where staff explores the intersection between human perception and large-scale visual analysis through the study of visualization and interactive displays. The Vislab serves as a research hub for human-computer interaction, tiled display software development, and visualization consulting. The Vislab offers opportunities to UT faculty, staff, and students to use visualization, interaction, and computational resources for the exploration and presentation of data.
