The Office of Industry Engagement (OIE) negotiates all contracts related to private industry research funding. OIE endeavors to streamline negotiations to better accommodate industry financial cycles and assist UT faculty in their collaborative efforts with industry partners. OIE focuses on flexible engagements and expedited contractual negotiations, through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and with support from the Office of Technology Commercialization.

The Texas Global Health Security Innovation Consortium (TEXGHS) connects academic, public- and private-sector partners to support companies working towards pandemic preparedness and response in Texas. TEXGHS is developing a health security innovation ecosystem that supports innovators and innovations fighting COVID-19 and future pandemics. Access to equipment and services, such as small animal studies (mice, rats, hamsters), cell culture, material characterization (NGI, Spraytec, Zetasizer), formulation development, dissolution and stability studies, as well as quantitative small molecule HPLC and mass spec analyses.

Dell Medical School’s Health Transformation Research Institute provides leadership and infrastructure to support robust, innovative, and world-class clinical and late-stage (T3-T5) translational research. The Health Transformation Research Institute supports researchers and learners conducting translational investigation, as well as the development of an integrated learning health system in which research is embedded in, drives and reinforces excellence in clinical, educational, and community-focused missions.
